Created to celebrate the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate, Alexandre Gabriel’s 20th anniversary as head of Pierre Ferrand Jarnac Cognac France, Plantation 20th Anniversary Rum is a super-premium offering intended to make sipping an auspicious occasion all by itself. It begins life as a blending of Barbadian pot-stilled and column-stilled rums. Then it is slow aged in ex-bourbon for 12 to 20 years at its Caribbean home. Then it is shipped to France where it is transferred to small French oak casks and aged a further 12 to 18 months. The result is a woody offering that smacks of fresh mangoes.
