Though they have been in production for over 108 years Matsui Shuzou, the makers of Kurayoshi Tottori Blended Japanese Whisky is one of the lesser-known producers in japan. This is due in part to them being located in Tottori Prefecture the most rural of all Japanese districts and part because they only create small batches of whiskey. To produce Kurayoshi Tottori, they mix whiskeys from Scottish distilleries with Japanese grain spirits and water that is naturally filtered through volcanic rock. The end result is a lemony spirit with a robust nutty tone.
