A blending of rums from 4 individual Jamaican distilleries, Compagnie des Indes Jamaica Navy Strength 5-Year-Old is blended and then aged in bourbon casks for a minimum of 5-years before being bottled. A traditional Jamaican rum it has no caramel, sugar or colouring added and is bottled at full Navy Strength (57% ABV). Opening the bottle, you are greeted by the aroma of cream soda, banana nut bread and dried mangoes mixed with peppers. On the palate, it opens with pineapple and honey mixed with tangy spices that quickly gives way to liquorice, stewed fruit and a long toffee finish.
