Captain Morgan Original Spiced gold is the foundation upon which the legend was built. A French-style (molasses-based) Caribbean rum. It is aged in charred white oak barrels with a secret blend of spices, filtered and bottled at 35% ABV. The resulting spirit is medium-bodied but rich with cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla and tropical fruits. Smooth and refreshing it works well as a sipper with a slice of lime but truly comes to life with a shot of cola or ginger ale to help smooth the edges and mellow it slightly.
